Hi,
On the thread below the loco list has some infomation which i am not sure is correct !! can some one please let me know as i was just starting to understand all the locomotive types from DSVN.
The only D14's that i know is the D14E, but the list says D14ER ! although i know this could be because its 1435mm gauge, but the loco's only have D14E on there cab side plates, is there more locos with D14Er plates ??
The next question is about the D13E, i thought there was 25 in total but the list says a total of 47 loco's, so do the numbers run from 701 to 747 ?
Finally i had some information on the D16E locomotives but these are not listed, so have these finished and are scraped ?
Again on the D14E do the Numbers run from D14E-2009 to 2013 or from 2010 to 2014 ?
I hope that you will be able to help me again !!!!!

I'm in China now so I can not check any information and answer. Maybe you and me lack of D16E in this list. All D16E (orgin name China DF3) using in gauge 1435mm but they did not used Er, I think D14E and D16E that only using in line 1435mm Vietnam Railways do not have any same class in 1000mm so they named that. You can easy to understand why did they named all locos using in 1435mm with "r": D4H (1000mm) - D4Hr (1435mm), D19E (1000mm) and D19Er (1435mm).

Sakuraluu,
Many thanks for the reply, i look forward to hearing your full reply when you return from China, i am interested to know the answer to how many D13E locomotives there was built as my list said 25, but your list on the forum says 47 !!!
Also about the D16E locomotives that are not on your list, my original list that i emailed to you only had 3 locomotives in this class and it said they are DF1 ? built in 1972, and the numbers were 2006,2007,2008, is this correct ? and are they still working ?
Please remember that i still need the locomotive numbers for the D14E class,
With the extra 4 D20E loco's that followed from the original batch are these the same, ??
I look forward to seeing your reply soon

That OK.
D16E - DF3 China
I have another information from Mr Hai - Hanoi Depot, the first VNR's staff went to KunMing-China and back with first D16E, this kind of loco using was second hand loco. buy at August,1998 to replaced old steam loco at Yen Vien Depot. This 03 D16E were using unstill 2006. Origin DF3 - 1800 HP but in Vietnam make this one lower at 1600 HP. He said he've ever test first D16E at August, 1998 push 34 cargo at Yen Cu Station at low speed 10km/h
Test at Ban Thi area (Hanoi-Dong Dang line) with 735 tons train at 35-40km/h ok.
Other kind of D5H from Russian
Mr Hai - First leader of 1435mm locos team - Hanoi Depot said: when he was student 1979-1984 at Cau Giat Depot (Near Vinh Station - State line) have 03 D5H loco name: 111-112-113 using at Cau Giat-Nghia Dan line, but this kind of loco disappeared in 1986 (this kind of loco different D5H Australian now)
Engine: 1D12-500 with 500HP a little bigger than D4H
- I will check other information and inform later.

Origin name: TGM8
Total: 05 loco with name : D8H 2001-2005
Belong to ThangLong Bridge's repair Depot with 800 HP, engine I shape.
This one was low speed loco with Vmax 850 r/m - max speed: 60km/h
Import Vietnam to built Thang Long Bridge in 1982-1983, after that using in Yen Vien - Ha Long line 1435mm untill 2004
