This forum and the photos have got me really interested. Being an Aussie I'm surprised by the former Queensland Railways DH class locomotives (still with the QR logo!) now D5H class I think. As QR is 3ft 6inch gauge rather than metre gauge, they must have been re-gauged somewhere. I have never seen any information in Australia about the sale.

I notice that there is a thread related to models but none are from VN. Does anyone in Vietnam model Vietnam Railways? And if so are there any websites etc?


BTW. I recently visited Vietnam, had a great time and saw a couple of trains. A photo of one is attached. I was on a tour heading for Ha Long Bay. I would like to go back and take a lot more.

I know there are some model railway fans in Vietnam so you will just have to be prepared to wait for a reply which should happen, i have sent an email to a friend out in Vietnam who will hopefully post something ! i visited Vietnam this time last year and ìf you are interested the photos are at this website address in England : http://www.phantasrail.com/vietnam.htm i hope you enjoy the photos !!

You can easy to find out many kind of locomotives at this site, This is one of the most famous website about Vietnam railways in Vietnam,
